Off-property guests can book at 7am exactly 3 days before each park day.
- Multi Pass: 3 rides bundled — book in the My Disney Experience app.
- Single Pass: paid à la carte for Tron, Rise of the Resistance, Guardians.
- Set a phone alarm for 6:55am. The 7am drop is competitive for top rides.

Express Pass Universal
Buy day-of in the Universal app. Not a queue — it's an unlimited (or limited-tier) skip on most rides.
- Best ROI: Epic Universe (Day 4) — newest park, longest lines.
- Worst ROI: IOA (Day 2) — Hagrid's and Velocicoaster don't accept it.
- USF (Day 3) — skip if you rope drop. Lines are manageable midweek.
Group splitting
14 people moving as one unit will ruin everyone. Pre-plan splits.
Lucy + adults who want headliners. Hits 48"+ rides.
Briggs + Louie + 1-2 adults. Kid rides, characters, snacks, naps.
Bowen + Charlotte + flex adults. Most rides, skip the 48"+ ones.
- Set explicit regroup points and times. Not "near Pirates" — say "Pirates exit, 12:30, hard stop."
- Use a group text or shared location app (Find My, Life360).
Rain plan May
May is the start of Florida's afternoon thunderstorm season. Plan on a 20–60 min storm most afternoons. Rain ponchos in every bag.
- Outdoor coasters (Velocicoaster, Stardust Racers, Slinky Dog, Big Thunder, Rock 'n' Roller) close for lightning. Indoor rides keep running.
- When you hear thunder, walk — don't run — to the nearest indoor headliner. Lines drop while everyone scrambles.
- Best rainy-hour rides: Rise of the Resistance, Forbidden Journey, Pirates, Mansion, Frozen Ever After, Runaway Railway.
- Best rainy-hour shows: Festival of the Lion King (AK), Bourne Stuntacular (USF), Animal Actors (USF).
- Fireworks cancel for storms. Decision is usually 30–60 min before showtime.
Single rider quick reference
Use single rider when adults want to ride a headliner and one parent stays with kids. Cuts wait by 50–80%.
